Chicken Shawarma

1 1/2 lbs. boneless chicken breasts or thighs

1 large onion, sliced

4 tbsp. olive oil

4 cloves minced garlic

2 tsp. cumin

2 tsp. smoked paprika

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. turmeric

salt and pepper to taste

minced parsley for garnish

Place everything except parsley in a freezer bag and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 400 F.

Remove chicken from fridge 30 minutes before baking.

Place contents of freezer bag in a baking dish and bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes.

We served it with roasted carrots!
