1 box of chocolate cake mix 2 small boxes of instant pudding 4 c. whole milk 1 - 8 oz. container of whipped topping 1 c. mini chocolate chips Chocolate syrup
Prepare cake according to the package directions. Cool completely and cut into squares.
Mix both boxes of pudding with milk. Let pudding set for 5-10 minutes.
Layer half of the cake slices in a trifle bowl. Spread half of the pudding over the cake; sprinkle half of the chocolate chips over the pudding.
Spread half of the whipped topping over the pudding mixture.
Repeat layering cake, pudding and whipped topping.
Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over the top.
Chill several hours or overnight before serving.
You can drizzle chocolate sauce over the top if desired, just before serving.
