1 1/2 lbs. thinly sliced beef
1/2 large yellow onion cut into crescents
2 cloves minced garlic
2 tbsp. sesame oil
1 tbsp. flour
salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder, to taste
1 tbsp. freshly grated ginger or 1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds (they can be toasted in a frying pan or in the oven)
1-2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 c. beef broth
2 bags frozen broccoli florets
1 tbsp. sesame oil
salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder, to taste

Preheat oven 375 F.

Place frozen broccoli on a sheet pan covered with foil.  Drizzle with 1 tbsp. sesame oil and seasoning and bake for 20-30 minutes. Broccoli should be soft, but not mushy.

Toss beef with flour and set aside.

Heat a large frying pan with 2 tsp. of sesame oil; add onions and seasoning and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute or so.

Push onions and garlic aside and add beef to the pan with additional seasoning and oil, if needed.

Cook for 4-6 minutes until beef is no longer pink. Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes.  Gently stir in the roasted broccoli and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Serve with rice or noodles.
