Heart Shaped Pastry Tarts Preheat oven 400 F.Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.2 store bought pie crusts3/4 c. seedless strawberry jam at room temp.1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 egg - for egg washICING1 c. powdered sugar1 tbsp. cream cheese at room temp.1 tbsp. cream, milk or half & halfFood coloring and sprinklesRoll out pie crusts; cut hearts using a heart shaped cookie cutter and place on the cookie sheet.Mix together jam and cornstarch.Spoon one tsp. of jam onto a heart. Place another heart on top and crimp together using the times of a fork.Brush with egg wash and bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.Cool completely.Mix together ingredients for icing until smooth. Stir in a drop of red food coloring. Ice pastry tarts, add sprinkles and chill until icing is set.
