Preheat oven 400 F.

Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.

2 store bought pie crusts

3/4 c. seedless strawberry jam at room temp.

1 tbsp. cornstarch

1 egg - for egg wash

ICING

1 c. powdered sugar

1 tbsp. cream cheese at room temp.

1 tbsp. cream, milk or half & half

Food coloring and sprinkles

Roll out pie crusts; cut hearts using a heart shaped cookie cutter and place on the cookie sheet.

Mix together jam and cornstarch.

Spoon one tsp. of jam onto a heart. Place another heart on top and crimp together using the times of a fork.

Brush with egg wash and bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.

Cool completely.

Mix together ingredients for icing until smooth. Stir in a drop of red food coloring.

Ice pastry tarts, add sprinkles and chill until icing is set.
