Snickerdoodles 

Dough

1/2 c. softened butter

1/2 c. shortening

1 1/2 c. granulated sugar

2 eggs

2 3/4 c. flour

2 tsp. cream of tartar

1 tsp. baking soda

pinch of salt

Coating

4 tbsp. granulated sugar

2 tbsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven 400 F.

Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

Cream butter, shortening and sugar.

Add eggs and mix for 1-2 minutes.

Sift together flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda.

Add dry mixture to wet mixture a little at a time, until everything is incorporated.

Mix together flour and sugar for coating.

Form dough into balls that are a bit smaller then a walnut, then roll in sugar mixture.
