Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars

1 1/2 c. crushed graham crackers

2 c. confectioner’s sugar

1/2 c. softened butter

1 c. creamy peanut butter

12 oz. milk or dark chocolate chips

Cream butter and peanut butter.

In a separate bowl, mix sugar and graham crackers. Add peanut butter and butter mixture to the graham cracker mixture. Stir until everything is combined. Press mixture into an 8 inch square pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.

Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stir and repeat until chocolate is melted.

Spread melted chocolate over the mixture in the pan. Chill several hours before cutting into squares.

When baking cookies, be sure your dough is thoroughly chilled when it goes on your baking pan. This will allow the leavening ingredients to work before the butter flattens out and your cookies lose their textural distinctions.
