1 c. softened butter
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk
2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 c. melting chocolate or chocolate chips - melt over double broiler
1/2 c. chopped pistachios
1/4 c. sea salt
Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg yolk and vanilla.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir flour mixture into butter mixture a little at a time until everything is incorporated.
Chill several hours.
Preheat oven 400 F.
Roll dough into logs about the size of your pinky.
Run the tines of a fork through one end to create ridges.
Bake on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for 10-12 minutes.
Cool completely.
Dip one end in melted chocolate and sprinkle with nuts and sea salt.
Allow chocolate to set before serving.
